| Dining & Kitchen
Facilities |
|
The dining room is a friendly chamber with round tables
and ample light. We like the round table concept. This
way everyone is at an equal distance from each other and
makes each meal all the more unique for conversation and
sharing of ones experiences. Looking out onto the gardens,
sunroofs fill the dinning room with light. A long self-serve
table is generously spread for breakfasts. The kitchen
is conveniently located behind the bamboo juice bar, here
we are engulfed by the smells of fresh foods being prepared.
The dinning room is also a great place to sit around and
talk, play games or study.
We are blessed in that all the water at Guaria de Osa
comes from a spring that gushes pure water, naturally
filtered straight from the rocks! We also have state of
the art water filtration device assuring potable water
for our guests. |

All rooms at Guaria de Osa have modern indoor bathroom facilities (sink, toilet, shower) with running water. Guaria de Osa also has a shared bath house. There
are three spacious bathrooms with flushing toilets,
mens and womens shower rooms with several
showers and several decorative sinks. All
bath facilities are elegantly tiled. In the shower-rooms
one finds tiled mosaics of a breaching whale and
another of the whales fluke, each shower room
has two showers and ample space for dressing. There
are also several outdoor showers and a theres
a shower tucked among the palms by the beach.

Lighting in the evenings
is by a solar system! Our system currently operates with
six 75 watt solar panels. This provides ample energy to
charge video camera batteries and electric shavers. An inverter
provides 110 AC current with 110v sockets. Due to our limited
electrical supply, we have dimmer overhead lamps in the
rooms and stronger reading lights in two shared areas. |
* For groups over 30 or special
events our facilities are spacious and can comfortably hold
over 50 people. When a group is larger than 30, we have access
to sleeping accommodations at two lodges each within 20 minutes
walk up or down the beach. Guaria de Osa main lodge and facilities
provides the meeting or conference grounds for the entire group.
