Transform yourself this winter through a
tropical yoga journey to the pristine
Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica
“where towering stands of primary Rainforest
kiss the sparkling Pacific Ocean!”

Enjoy a deeply rejuvenating and inspiring yoga adventure amidst the lush rainforest and next to the sea in one of the most "biodiverse places on Earth". Join yoga teacher, Leigh Evans, for a week of mindful meditative yoga practice and invite the spirit of inquiry and wisdom into your life. Rest in the secluded oasis of Guaria de Osa's ethnobotanical gardens for a week of yogic bliss and tranquility.

Deepen your direct experience of the present moment by expanding your capacity for awareness through your yoga practice. Taste the Buddha’s realization of the nature of impermanence by witnessing the shifting sensations that your body experiences as you attune to the inner unfolding of each asana. Rest in the spaciousness of the heart’s capacity to open to all states of mind.

We will practice yoga twice a day in the morning and afternoon. Sessions include strong vinyasa practice, gentle restorative asanas, meditation, pranayama, chanting, and thai massage.

There will be plenty of time to frolic and explore the abundance of Guaria de Osa which borders Corcovado National Park, Costa Rica’s Crown Jewel of National Park Systems, Marenco Biological Reserve and near by Caño Island Oceanic Reserve. We will enjoy guided ethnobotanical tours, swimming under waterfalls, snorkeling, kayaking and rainforest hikes in which we'll see monkeys, toucans, coatis, guans, and white hawks and a myriad of birds and richly colored plant life within a superb forest!

Leigh Evans yogaLeigh Evans is a yoga teacher and dancer dedicated to awakening creativity and aliveness in the body. She loves the practice of yoga for the peacefulness and clarity of mind that comes from the breath flowing freely in the body. Since 1985, Leigh has practiced Hatha Yoga in the Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Viniyoga traditons in the U.S. and India. She has been teaching yoga for 14 years. She has studied Thai massage at ITM, Thailand, Ananda Apfelbaum, NYC and Lek Chaiya, Spirit Winds School of Thai Massage, CA.  Drawing from her additional studies in Buddhist Meditation, Classical Indian Odissi dance, Balinese dance, and Japanese Butoh, she creates a sacred healing and mindful yoga practice. Leigh's dedication to Asian forms of performance and healing arises from her desire to share the meditative and transformative states of consciousness prevalent in these traditions. Leigh lives in New York City and teaches workshops and retreats nationally and internationally.
