Simple Abundance
A Viniyoga Retreat
with Robin Rothenberg
and Julie Gayer
Guaria de Osa, Costa Rica

Saturday March 15 -
Saturday March 22, 2008

Many of us long for simplicity, where in stillness and silence we can hear the call of our soul. On retreat, at the lush and beautiful Guaria de Osa, we’ll be surrounded by exotic scents, flora and fauna beyond imagination and the steady rhythm of the ocean calling us to return to our true nature. Julie and Robin weave the wisdom teaching of yoga and Buddhism through practices using asana, pranayama, chanting and meditative movement. They offer you an opportunity to plunge into the soul of your being, by learning how to simply ‘be’; embraced by the warmth of the tropics, sangha (spiritual community), and the abundant, inextinguishable light of your own heart center.

Robin and Julie, both AVI Certified Yoga Therapists, are skillful and seasoned instructors, capable of adapting for all body types and levels of experience. Their extensive training in yoga therapy makes their classes a safe place to practice even for those with physical or physiological limitations. Using the Viniyoga model of adaptive, breath-centered practice, these two women focus on the integration of body, mind and spirit, working from the inside out to facilitate their students awakening to the Joy of Being.

Robin Rothenberg is the Director of The Yoga Barn and a Certified Viniyoga Therapist. She has been teaching and directing programs in yoga since 1987, including private yoga therapy, group retreats, in-depth studies and RYT teacher trainings. Robin co-designed the protocol and taught the classes, for the Yoga for Low Back Pain Study, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, Dec. 19, 2005. Prior to her training in Viniyoga, Robin spent 10 years studying Iyengar yoga and became a Certified Iyengar Teacher in 1992. Robin is known as a 'Teacher's Teacher', masterful at therapeutic adaptations, facilitating groups and weaving the more meditative practices of pranayama, chanting and personal inquiry into asana practice.
