Guaria de Osa, snuggled off the beach, is located in a prime
spot for exploration of regions rich in biological diversity!
It is surrounded by significant protected stands of primary tropical
rainforest and marine reserves.
Our neighboring Corcovado National Park is considered the Crown
Jewel of Costa Rica's National Park System. Nearby, within easy
visiting reach, is the Caño Island Oceanic reserve (a world-famous
scuba diving site), Isla Violines Biological Reserve, the Mangrove
Estuaries of the Terraba and Sierpe Rivers and the Golfo Dulce
Forest reserve. We are also in visiting proximity to La Amistad
National Park and Chiripo Volcano.

Guaria de Osa shares a remote one and a quarter mile-long coconut
laden paradise beach, called Playa Rincón de San Josesito
(Saint Joseph's Corner).
Pacific Beaches of indescribable beauty are located within a short
walk from Guaria de Osa, such as, Río Claro, excellent
for surfing nearly all year long and a favorite for swimming,
with its cool jade green river and towering rainforest trees growing
literally right down to the beach, only a half hour walk down
the beach trail; and San Josesito Beach, even closer to Guaria
being a mere 15 minutes walk away, is considered among the finest
on the Osa Peninsula with a protected bay with excellent for snorkeling
and swimming. There are many other secluded beaches and coves
one can discover walking north or south.

This fantastic peninsula in the SOUTHERN ZONE of COSTA RICA is
where wildlife sightings are guaranteed. Scarlet Macaws and Toucans,
as well as Howler and White Faced Monkeys ignore the curious visitor.
The forest is remarkable with giant towering trees and gallery
groves. It is the Osa Peninsula, the world famous wild side of
this unspoiled country, that can offer all of this incredible
natural beauty in close proximity - right down to the beach -
where the deep blue ocean is fertile breeding waters for many
kinds of fish, whales, turtles and dolphins.

The OSA PENINSULA, "The Little Amazon by the Ocean " is
home of one of the last great stands of Central American Tropical
Rainforests thriving right up to a pristine Pacific Ocean, it has
been described as "the most biologically intense place on Earth"
by National Geographic magazine.
